Scarred for Life will be in booth # 21!

"The Fitchburg Agora Art Fair celebrates its ninth year in 2017. It has grown from a small gathering of Wisconsin artists into a vibrant yearly event that draws thousands of people to this unique location. With its classic architecture and stunning prairie landscape, the Agora (Greek for “gathering place”) provides the perfect setting for an outdoor art fair. Strolling through the exhibits amidst the natural beauty of South Central Wisconsin promises to be an experience you won’t soon forget.

The Agora Art Fair is proud to feature local and regional Wisconsin artists from every medium. Here you’ll find paintings, ceramics, jewelry, photography, glass and metalwork, outdoor and garden pieces, woodwork, sculpture, and one-of-a-kind gifts. We have many returning vendors and are welcoming new artists every year.

There’s plenty to do at the Agora Art Fair besides shop, too. There’s food and beverages from local restaurants and vendors, the Wisconsin Craft Beer & Wine Garden, live music, the Children’s Art Yard, and returning this year, the Hands-On Art Experience. With lots to enjoy for every member of the family, you’ll be glad you came early."

Uptown Art Fair

  • Humboldt Ave and the mall minneapolis (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Scarred for Life will be in booth #1402!

"Uptown is quite possibly one of the most urban areas in the entire great state of Minnesota. By definition, it functions almost as its own mini-city, and is certainly one of the liveliest communities in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Bordered by 28th Street to the north, Dupont Street to the east, 31st Street to the south, and Lake Calhoun to the west—its heart is located where Hennepin Avenue and West Lake Street intersect.

Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles, and Cedar Lake are only a few blocks away, making Uptown’s tree-lined streets both welcoming and walkable— where the blues meet the greens. The mixture of housing, from studio apartments to lakeside mansions, offers much in the way of diversity, and one can take their pick from an array of book stores, one-of-a-kind specialty shops, theaters, and locally owned restaurants and corner cafés.

In addition to shopping, dining, and entertainment, Uptown is an urban oasis reflecting the attitudes, landscapes, and spirit of a multi-disciplined and layered community.

It is home to Calhoun Square, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden and Walker Art Center, the City of Lakes Loppet cross-country ski festival, the Nature Valley Bicycle Festival, and the Uptown Art Fair, which attracts as many as 375,000 people during the first full weekend in August.

While these annual events are becoming increasingly popular, the Uptown area captures attention year-round simply because it’s Uptown—intriguing and inviting, established and new, bohemian and fabulous. It is an eclectic mix that attracts businesses, residents, and visitors alike. What truly constitutes an urban experience? Find out for yourself at this year’s Uptown Art Fair.
